He's got the whole world in his hands

Since the day my grandson was born I am yet to not take photos and video of him on a daily basis. In Rainy's (grandma's) eyes every expression or thing he does is a Kodak moment for me.
This photo was taken today, Easter morning.
Along with candies and other surprises in his basket was a bubble blower. Lance's Pop-pop was making bubbles while Lance attempted to grab them. Notice the tiny bubble in his hand, reminds me of the song "He's got the whole world in his hands", Lance doesn't know that yet, but will realize this as he grows up with the positive loving influences that surrounds him that he can have the whole world (his world) in his hands. I get a second chance to raise this beautiful child in ways I didn't not think of while raising my own children. Life is surely a dance and I'm still learning as I go.

First boat ride of the year

video
Woke up to a cool and beautiful March Saturday. Our grandson Eric was visiting that weekend. His Pop-pop thought it would be a great day to take his grandson on the first boat ride of the year. I had a great time taking photos and video from behind the glass sliding doors  in our dinning room where it was nice and warm *chuckles* A few weeks ago hubby and I purchased a walki-talki set as you will see in the video they came in handy, Eric kept me abreast on the sites and on their journey on to the bigger lake that connects to the lake outback. We are looking forward to this Spring when we will be enjoying the beauty of the colors that will burst in our backyard.

February news

As I mentioned before we moved this past December to our new place.  I took these pictures from inside our house so they might seem a bit blurry. I love, love our new view, it's very peaceful and serene.
It's almost the end of February we are closer to the budding leaves of the trees and the blooms of the flowers. I can't wait to see our backyard in full bloom. The last couple of days I've seen a Swan, some ducklings and a beaver swimming in the lake of our backyard. To me their presence announced that Spring is indeed around the corner.

The last place we lived at our view from the kitchen window was our neighbors shed with piles of his "stuff" including a dino-normus satellite dish. While doing dishes I used to look out the window and say one day I will be looking out my kitchen window and see a beautiful scene. The future and my desires have arrived and I must say I am loving everyday I look outside from every window in the house including the kitchen window *thankful that I choose to create my life ~smiling*.
Since our move my Rain Dropps workshop is still in boxes all stacked up in our walkout basement home of my future shop, I must add that the photos I posted are also my view from my workshop *takes a deep breath of anticipation  then smiles*. I excitedly wait for the day when my hubby or my daughter puts my shop back together again just like Humpty Dumpty, so until then I say with heartfelt conviction that Rain Dropps is still in the forecast. December shot by like a race horse out the gates. Hubby, son, daughter and I were busy packing it up to move to a bigger place. Love the new digs not sure if we are planning to stay for the long haul but for the time being we all fit in nicely, plenty of room to spread out.
If your familiar with my story I have bad disks so I am unable to put my Rain Dropps workshop together again. *I now can relate to how Humpty Dumpty felt*
But none the less I'm keeping positive still believing in miracles and that everything happens in perfect timing.   Since our move I have not done any creating until today (Jan 15, 2012). So! I Decided to pull up Photoshop and have some fun. Check out my link (click on the horned women on your left) to check out my latest. It's nice that you popped in to see what's happening. Rain Dropps is still in the forecast.

Marine Corp
Happy 236th Birthday

"A Marine is a Marine.  I set that policy two weeks ago - there's no such thing as a former Marine.   You're a Marine,  just in a different uniform and you're in a different phase of your life.  But you'll always be a Marine because you went to Parris Island, San Diego or the hills of Quantico.  There's no such thing as a former Marine."
General James F. Amos, 35th Commandant of the Marine Corps

Steam Punk

The most terrific grandeur I've beheld thus far in my creative adventures is the making of "Steam Punk" Therefore I am fully warranted in announcing that Steam Punk Has arrived to Rain Dropps.
*A bit of rapturous Steam Punkery expression I thought I open with

For those that are not familiar with Steam Punk it's a sub-genre of science fiction and fantasy featuring advanced machines and other technology based on the steam power of the 19th century and taking place in a recognizable historical period or a fantasy world.
Rain Dropps cover's a lot of genres *pardon the pun* but if I had to describe myself (Rain) I would say that I am contraptor-esk
(A person who creates functional or practical Steam Punk art, also who modifies already made items to meet the Steam Punk aesthetic yet maintains it's functionality.

In a most momentous way I am currently and I must say diligently  working on my creations to fill my cobble stoned web-shoppe shelves with my astonishing Works of Heart that will be available to all in what I hope to be sooner than later.

Rain Dropps invites all to board her time machine where an unutterable journey awaits us.
"Come with me and you'll be In a world of pure imagination, take a look and you'll see Into your imagination,we'll begin with a spin Trav'ling in the world of ~ My creation.
